This is the  ULTIMATE STEP in ECO Surfboard cloths ! MIX BASALT and Aussie Grown HEMP together to make a true performance cloth.

Basalt /Hemp 4oz cloth is easily laminated just like 4oz eglass but has the strength of Sglass in the vertical thread of the cloth and has the natural material of Hemp in the horizontal  this brings  amazing dampening properties in this performance cloth  - so less chatter on EPS boards 

What is Basalt?

Basalt is a hard dense volcanic rock.  It’s an igneous rock formed through the rapid cooling and solidification of lava.  Basalt fibre is produced in a continuous process using crushed basalt rock, the only raw material required for its manufacture.   It provides a good compromise between glass (20% stronger) and carbon (Not as brittle)

What is Hemp Fibre 

Hemp Yarn is made from the long strands of fibre that make up the stalk of the plant. These fibres are separated from the bark through a process called “retting.” These fibres are then spun together to produce a continuous thread that can be woven into a Cloth. Our yarn that we make into our Hemp Fiberglass products is the Waste product of the Crops grown right here in Australia! We make the yarn into a cloth also in Australia  Keeping the local industry strong!
